V°73 is a women’s bags, accessories and footwear brand founded in 2011, the brainchild of fashion designer Elisabetta Armellin. Part of the Miriade Group since 2019, it has experienced exponential growth and is now present in around 400 stores in Europe, the Middle East, Russia and the Far East, as well as a flagship boutique in the heart of Venice. A designer and painter, born in 1973, after studying at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, a master’s degree in shoe design in Milan and twelve years of experience in the style departments of important Italian fashion brands, Elisabetta Armellin founded V°73, taking her inspiration from her adoptive city: V stands for Venice, where the idea took shape, and 73 is her year of birth. Today, the designer acts as the brand’s Creative Director. V°73 combines the values of traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge production technologies, promoting a continual focus on responsible fashion, through the research and development of new materials that respect nature.
V°73 owes its global success to Must, the first bag launched on the market, available in canvas with a trompe-l’œil print. Today, the collections include different models, suitable for both casual and formal occasions: handbags, shoulder bags and cross body bags, shopping bags, backpacks and mini bags. The design conjures up the characteristic architectural styles of Venice: colours, textures, lines and details are inspired by the iconic buildings on the Grand Canal - in particular the Ca’ D’Oro - by the fine details that adorn the brightly-coloured houses of the island of Burano, by the infinite shades of the Lagoon and its immense heritage of arts and ancient craft. Research into raw materials is key: from the most classic such as velvet - a typical, traditionally Venetian fabric - canvas, suede and nappa, to more contemporary options such as plastic, with a particular focus on sustainable materials, such as faux leather, and recycled ones.
Since December 2014 V ° 73 has been present with its first flagship store in Venice, in Frezzaria Street, a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco, between thirteenth-century buildings and luxury boutiques.
